questions and answers
How does a ballistic vest differ from a stab-proof vest?
Ballistic vests primarily protect against firearms, while stab-proof vests are specifically designed to protect against knife and stabbing weapons. Many of our models combine both types of protection for optimal all-around protection.
Can I wear the vests concealed under my clothes?
Yes. Our lightweight body armor vests, like the Alpha model, were specifically designed for discreet, covert use. They offer protection without adding bulk.
What protection standard does CEST Armor use?
Our vests meet internationally recognized protection levels such as NIJ Level IIIA (ballistic protection) and can be optionally upgraded with K1/K2 stab-resistant plates. Details can be found on each product.
Are the vests permitted for private use?
Yes, our vests are freely available for sale in Germany as long as they are not subject to the War Weapons Control Act. Owning and carrying them in private is legal—for example, for security personnel, journalists, or self-defense.
